IEM Kiev: CRS COP

This is basically about my experiences at IEM Kiev and around our hotel.
Day 1
When I got to the airport in Kiev, I waited in line for about 5 minutes and noticed that Liquid and Jaximus walked in. I was wondering where Jacky was and then Liquid told me the news.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO WHY JACKY WHY
After this, we got our passports checked and went in where we met with SYDTKO. We went in, got our money changed, then got a taxi to drive us to our hotel, the Khreschatyk. It was actually pretty surprising. It had its own casino, bar, and restaurant. We got two rooms and put all our luggage away.
Liquid, Jaximus, and I decided we wanted something to eat, so we went off while SYDTKO stayed to sleep. This is when I learned that SYDTKO is the laziest mofucka ever. Guy slept for 18+ hours straight on the first night.
Well, we ended up walking around outside the hotel and found out that there was a huge underground mall. We went in and looked around, but all the food places looked pretty gross, so we decided to go to this pretty cool pizza place. Ended up getting like... an XXL pizza, 3\4 big cups of beer, and some fruity drinks for me, DEAL WITH IT, for like 230 of their currency, which is like $30. After this, we left and went to sleep to get ready for a big second day at the tournament.
Day 2
We woke up pretty early, all got ready, and then got a taxi to go to the tournament. The address isn't written in their language on the website, so we basically just asked for the taxi driver to take us to an arena. NO ONE SPEAKS ENGLISH, made everything so difficult -_-
After about 20 minutes, we arrived at some sketchy looking mall that said arena on it. It then took us another 20 minutes to find the real place. We were the first ones there. This was at like 9\10 AM and it was pretty awesome and exciting to me, since I've never been to a gaming event. We ended up hanging out with Matt Marcou, Deman, Zenon, and Phreak for about an hour or two.
At around noon, we got set up because we wanted to get a little bit of practice in. We met with Flashy shortly after and he ended up being really cool. The guy is so excited about everything, he even gave us like.. a battle speech before our games. Flashy really knew how to build himself up so we were like, "Sweet, time to get carried."
This may have been our downfall for the game vs TSM. I should have chose something I felt more comfortable with in this certian matchup. I feel that EU overvalues certain champs, in my case, Vayne. We picked Vayne Janna against Graves Sona, WAT? Our game was actually winnable, but oh well. I wasn't that upset though, since my only goal in this tournament was to beat White Lotus. This was mainly because our roster consisted of substitutes and an EU player.
The game vs White Lotus was pretty fun, since it was the only game we won. We picked really well and outplayed every lane. DAT SYDTKO VLAD. I'm happy that we won the only game that was really important to me.
Our next game was a disaster, SK pood on us D: Nothing really happened that was special in this game, we just got outplayed.
That was my first LoL Live Tournament experience, GOOD STUFF.
After the games, we ended up going out for drinks with TSM. We ended up walking around this mall for like 10 minutes until we found a really cool place. It was a restaurant with like.. 10 bowling lanes, AIR HOCKEY, and cheap drinks. All I remember about the food is TRM and TOO sharing a weiner platter with each other, with some Chaox action in there, too. It was a pretty fun night, they were all really cool.
Day 3
This is where the good shit started happening. We started the day off by going to the tournament and watching the games. Those M5 players, DAYUM. I was really surprised when Dignitas made it out of their bracket since aAa was looking really good. I expected much more out of Sypher, kind of disappointing. Hopefully they can do better next time.
We ended up going home a bit earlier and just hung out at the restaurant\bar. The drinks were cheap so we got a couple and then ended up going to the pizza place again. By we, I mean Liquid, Jaximus, and I. Guess what SYDTKO was doing >_>
After the pizza place, I was feeling tired, so I went to bed. Jaximus and Liquid ended up not being able to fall asleep, so they just stayed at the bar and drank all night long.
Day 4
Liquid and Jaximus were feeling exhausted from the previous night, so we just kinda stayed at the hotel\bar and watched the games on an iPad. We drank the entire day, good stuff. For like 6 hours, we just stayed at the bar and ordered drinks, while talking about random stuff. Liquid and Jaximus had a lot of beers while we tried to figure out what I'd like. I hate beer, so I just ordered random fruity drinks. I had a Sex on the Beach, a Strawberry Mojito, and a Pina Colada (I'm so manly). After showing off how gay I was, I then had like 3 cups of whiskey\coke over a period of like 4 hours.
During the drinking, Liquid wanted an aspirin, so I went up to get him one from his bag since I'm a nice guy, no problem. Ended up going to the bathroom in their room for like 20 minutes until they came up, lolololol. We were talking and Jaximus tells me how our waitress ended up asking them if we wanted to go clubbing with her and her friends after she got off in an hour. LIQUID FKIN SAID NO, WTFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF?
I didn't really care, until about an hour later. Her friends came in, 4 of them I think, and they wuz like... 7.5-8s on the Chauster Scale of Hotness. IF YOU KNEW HIS SCALE, YOU'D UNDERSTAND. God damn you Liquid, FFFFFFFFKKKKKKKKKKKKKK. I would have risked getting knifed in Kiev to go clubbing/AND PROLLY MORE.
After hating on Liquid for the next hour, we ended up going to our rooms and I mentioned a pool I saw in their brochure. We ended up looking around for it, and asked the lady at the front desk. You actually had to rent the pool out, which we ended up doing since it was only like 20$ each, for as many people as you want. The deal included a private pool, sauna, shower, massages (DIDN'T GET THESE WTF), and our own SEX CAVE (room with a big bed, wut), which included two very expired condoms, NISE. We also bought a bottle of vodka, where Jaximus and Liquid ended up taking like 10 shots together, good stuff. (I'm a bitch, I only took one)
We then spent our hour in our private pool\sauna together, just the three of us, without five really attractive females, FK U LIQUID.
After this, we went back to the bar for more drinks, but SYDTKO actually woke up to join us. At this point, Jaximus was lookin pretty bad. He was acting pretty drunk, like.. black-out level. He then proceeded to go to the bathroom in the casino to do a numba 2. He ended up coming out 20 minutes later, YEP HE THREW UP. He actually missed the sink and threw up all over the floor, good stuff. The cleaners must have been pissed, the throw up was literally in-between the trash can and the sink, and there was only like a 6 inch distance between them. I don't understand how he could possibly miss, or what he was thinking. I then took him up to his room so he could sleep, and we continued getting drinks until pretty late. GOOD TIMES
Day 5
We ended up waking up and feeling like complete shit, SYDTKO being the only one feeling fine. If you saw us at the tournament that day, we were so tired\shitty looking. We watched the games until League was over, congrats to M5. Liquid was exhausted and decided he was going to go home, in which Jaximus and SYDTKO supported. Last night in Kiev, Twitch.tv party coming up after StarCraft II was over, and they decided we should go home to sleep. This was all after I started feeling better, so I was pretty butthurt. ELEMENTZ WOULDA MANNED UP AND PARTIED, Liquid bad real-life support. I heard that the party was the shit and it ended up going on until the next morning at like 6. I WAS SO BUTTHURT.
Day 6+
This includes my awesome adventure at the airport. My first flight was fine, a little delayed due to the ice, still got there in time. I was with Scarra and he ended up missing his flight (huehueu). I was right on time and caught the flight from Munich to Dulles. This mofuckin Dulles airport, worst place ever. I had a headache because I was inbetween two big people on my flight and I couldn't sleep, so I was pretty pissed. I had about 30 minutes to get to my flight, sounds easy, NOPE. Get to the gate, OH LOOK RANDOM SECURITY CHECK ON YOU COP, ONLY YOU. The guy at the gate let like five people in front of me go, pulls me aside and sends me to line A or whatever to get checked, then lets everyone behind me through. COOL
Ended up missing my flight by like 5 minutes and then sitting in Customer Service to get another flight for 3 hours, fast line. The next flight to Jacksonville was at 8 AM the next morning, only 13 hours away. NISE
Ended up texting Liquid like 4 hours later and he said he could pick me up and he'd bring me to the airport the next day since he lives nearby. LIQUID REAL GOOD GUY
END

My mother is freaking out because of this scare tactic email forward "Next Terrorist Attack will be different and soon". Help me calm her nerves.

My mother usually is not so influenced by stuff like this. But she is forwarding this email around telling people to prepare and generally just freaking out. This is old news, we all know of the vulnerabilities and potential. Help me calm her nerves. Here is the forward (though when i received it, it was quadruple spaced with about 100 email addresses and forward lines):
Israel is realistic and US is foolish!
Advice from an Israeli Agent AN ABSOLUTE MUST READ !!
Juval Aviv was the Israeli Agent upon whom the movie ' Munich ' was based. He was Golda Meir's bodyguard, and she appointed him to track down and bring to justice the Palestinian terrorists who took the Israeli athletes hostage and killed them during the Munich Olympic Games.
In a lecture in New York City he shared information that EVERY American needs to know -- but that our government has not yet shared with us.
He predicted the London subway bombing on the Bill O'Reilly show on Fox News stating publicly that it would happen within a week. At the time, O'Reilly laughed, and mocked him saying that in a week he wanted him back on the show. Unfortunately, within a week the terrorist attack had occurred.
Juval Aviv gave intelligence (via what he had gathered in Israel and the Middle East ) to the Bush Administration about 9/11, a month before it occurred. His report specifically said they would use planes as bombs and target high profile buildings and monuments. Congress has since hired him as a security consultant.
Now for his future predictions. He predicts the next terrorist attack on the U.S. Will occur within the next few months.
Forget hijacking airplanes, because he says terrorists will NEVER try and hijack a plane again as they know the people onboard will never go down quietly again.. Aviv believes our airport security is a joke -- that we have been reactionary rather than proactive in developing strategies that are truly effective.
For example:
1) Our airport technology is outdated. We look for metal, and the new explosives are made of plastic.
2) He talked about how some idiot tried to light his shoe on fire. Because of that, now everyone has to take off their shoes. A group of idiots tried to bring aboard liquid explosives. Now we can't bring liquids on board. He says he's waiting for some suicidal maniac to pour liquid explosive on his underwear; at which point, security will have us all traveling naked! Every strategy we have is reactionary.
3) We only focus on security when people are heading to the gates.
Aviv says that if a terrorist attack targets airports in the future, they will target busy times on the front end of the airport when/where people are checking in. It would be easy for someone to take two suitcases of explosives, walk up to a busy check-in line, ask a person next to them to watch their bags for a minute while they run to the restroom or get a drink, and then detonate the bags BEFORE security even gets involved. In Israel , security checks bags BEFORE people can even ENTER the airport.
Aviv says the next terrorist attack here in America is imminent and will involve suicide bombers and non-suicide bombers in places where large groups of people congregate. (I.e., Disneyland, Las Vegas casinos, big cities ( New York , San Francisco , Chicago , etc.) and that it will also include shopping malls, subways in rush hour, train stations, etc., as well as, rural America this time.. The interlands ( Wyoming , Montana , etc.).
The attack will be characterized by simultaneous detonations around the country (terrorists like big impact), involving at least 5-8 cities, including rural areas.
Aviv says terrorists won't need to use suicide bombers in many of the larger cities, because at places like the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, they can simply valet park a car loaded with explosives and walk away.
Aviv says all of the above is well known in intelligence circles, but that our U. S.. Government does not want to 'alarm American citizens' with the facts. The world is quickly going to become 'a different place', and issues like 'global warming' and political correctness will become totally irrelevant.
On an encouraging note, he says that Americans don't have to be concerned about being nuked. Aviv says the terrorists who want to destroy America will not use sophisticated weapons. They like to use suicide as a front-line approach. It's cheap, it's easy, it's effective; and they have an infinite abundance of young militants more than willing to 'meet their destiny'.
He also says the next level of terrorists, over which America should be most concerned, will not be coming from abroad. But will be, instead, 'homegrown', having attended and been educated in our own schools and universities right here in the U.S. He says to look for 'students' who frequently travel back and forth to the Middle East . These young terrorists will be most dangerous because they will know our language and will fully understand the habits of Americans; but that we Americans won't know/understand a thing about them.
Aviv says that, as a people, Americans are unaware and uneducated about the terrorist threats we will inevitably face. America still has only a handful of Arabic and Farsi speaking people in our intelligence networks, and Aviv says it is critical that we change that fact SOON.
So, what can America do to protect itself? From an intelligence perspective, Aviv says the U.S. needs to stop relying on satellites and technology for intelligence. We need to, instead, follow Israel 's, Ireland 's and England 's hands-on examples of human intelligence, both from an infiltration perspective as well as to pay attention to, and trust 'aware' citizens to help. We need to engage and educate ourselves as citizens; however, our U. S. government continues to treat us, its citizens, 'like babies'. Our government thinks we 'can't handle the truth' and are concerned that we'll panic if we understand the realities of terrorism. Aviv says this is a deadly mistake.
Aviv recently created/executed a security test for our Congress, by placing an empty briefcase in five well-traveled spots in five major cities. The results? Not one person called 911 or sought a policeman to check it out.. In fact, in Chicago , someone tried to steal the briefcase!
In comparison, Aviv says that citizens of Israel are so well 'trained' that an unattended bag or package would be reported in seconds by citizen(s) who know to publicly shout, 'Unattended Bag!' The area would be quickly & calmly cleared by the citizens themselves.
Unfortunately, America hasn't been yet 'hurt enough' by terrorism for their government to fully understand the need to educate its citizens or for the government to understand that it's their citizens who are, inevitably, the best first-line of defense against terrorism.
Aviv also was concerned about the high number of children here in America who were in preschool and kindergarten after 9/11, who were 'lost' without parents being able to pick them up, and about our schools that had no plan in place to best care for the students until parents could get there. (In New York City , this was days, in some cases!)
He stresses the importance of having a plan, that's agreed upon within your family, of how to respond in the event of a terrorist emergency. He urges parents to contact their children's schools and demand that the schools too, develop plans of actions, just as they do in Israel .
Does your family know what to do if you can't contact one another by phone? Where would you gather in an emergency? He says we should all have a plan that is easy enough for even our youngest children to remember and follow.
Aviv says that the U. S. government has in force a plan, that in the event of another terrorist attack, EVERYONE's ability to use cell phones, blackberries, etc., will immediately be cut-off, as this is the preferred communication source used by terrorists and is often the way that their bombs are detonated.
How will you communicate with your loved ones in the event you cannot speak to each other? You need to have a plan.
If you understand, and believe what you have just read, then you must feel compelled to send this to every concerned parent, guardian, grandparents, uncles, aunts, whomever. Don't stop there. In addition to sharing this via e-mail, contact and discuss this information with whomever it makes sense to. Make contingency plans with those you care about. Better that you have plans in place, and never have to use them, then to have no plans in place, and find you needed them.
If you choose not to share this, or not to have a plan in place, and nothing ever occurs -- good for you! However, in the event something does happen, and even more so, if it directly affects your loved ones, then this message will haunt you forever.
